I have never touched a man in my life, and I feel guilty writing these lines to you. But all I want to say is that since my sister has gone to her husband’s house I have been lonely. I took The Little Prince out of its hiding place tonight and read my favourite part and thought of you. Please forgive me if I’m too forward. I don’t know what’s happening to me, but I have to confess I cannot stop thinking of you. I believe in my heart you are a special man. I live at 22 Shahid Hoseyni Street, and my phone number is 2223467. If you want to call, please ring between ten o’clock in the morning and two in the afternoon. If my mother or a man picks up the phone, don’t say anything. I’ll wait for your call for the next seven days. If you don’t call, I’ll understand you don’t want to talk to me and I apologise for offending or harassing you. That is not my intention.
